Chew Valley Trees
and Peat-Free
Event Videography in Somerset
As a Bristol videographer, I really enjoyed filming with Chew Valley Trees earlier this year to create another piece for Peat-Free Partnership series #hortshorts.
Lydia explains how the traditional way isn’t the only way, and that there’s growing demand for peat-free from consumers and larger organisations. Greater awareness means consumers are factoring peat-free into their choices – so alongside the clear ecological needs, there’s a business case too.
Chew Valley Trees are a specialist tree and hedge nursery in operation since 1986. David and Julia Scarth founded Chew Valley in response to the growing demand for UK-grown native trees, in the face of extensive conifer planting. Alongside growing peat-free, many of their staff come from conservation backgrounds and they keep nature at the heart of it all.
